En europærisk udgivelse af No More Heroes 2 har ladet sig vente og datoen er blevet rykket et par gange og det seneste rygte gik på 21 den maj. Det var tæt på, det bliver den nemlig den 28 maj, dette har Rising Star Games i dag bekræftet, så nu har vi en endelig en præcis dato at se frem til. Den 28 maj vil samtidigt betyde, der skal gå fire måneder fra udgivelsen i USA, som var den 26 januar, men sådan går det jo desværre ofte med udgivelser her i Europa. Men til gengæld kan vi så skjule til de amerikanske anmeldelser af spillet, hvor det er blevet rigtigt godt modtaget og ligger pt. i den høje ende af 80′erne som snit, hvilket gør det til dette års bedst bedømte Wii spil.

Eneste problem med udgivelse så sent inde i Maj, er at det kun er 2 uger før udgivelsen af Super Mario Galaxy 2, samt 3 uger efter udgivelse af Sin and Punishement 2, så det bliver en meget travlt måned for nogle af os.

Leading videogames publisher Rising Star Games today confirms that the highly anticipated sequel No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle will be released throughout Europe on 28th May, exclusively for the Nintendo Wii.

Travis Touchdown, the pro-wrestling-obsessed assassin, returns three years after he first became the top assassin in the United Assassins Association (UAA) and walked away. Fighting to avenge the brutal murder of his best friend, Travis must rise through the ranks of an incredible 51 assassins to once again make it the top of the UAA league table.

But it won’t be easy as there are more deadly bosses than ever before. To prepare gamers with the tools to make it a fair fight, there are a total of six different weapons in the game - including a highly covetable dual-beam katana - along with 13 unique wrestling moves to master as well as exhilarating Tiger metamorphosis.

To further expand gameplay, there are two new playable characters: Henry, Travis’s twin brother who was once married to Sylvia Christel; and Shinobu Jacobs, Travis’s protege whose signature move is the Sonic Sword.

No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle also includes 8-bit arcade-style addictive mini-games that crop up in Travis’s side jobs, providing opportunities to earn money for different items, such as weapons and clothing. And, to allow gamers to focus 100% on the action, the game also features a brand new and easy-to-navigate 2D map so they can jump straight into battles.

Developed by Goichi ‘Suda51′ Suda’s studio, Grasshopper Manufacture, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle is the only sequel the team has ever worked on, and Suda51 has famously named it the No More Heroes game he originally wanted to make.

“We’re really excited to announce the official European release date No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle,” says Martin Defries, managing director, Rising Star Games. “The original became a cult hit on the Wii when it released four years ago and the sequel is set to attract an army of new followers. The inclusion of blood also means No More Heroes 2 will be available in Europe the way the legendary Suda51 intended.”
